Howto: Initiate a Fake Call with a Swipe of Finger on Home Screen

Version 1.3 of Fake-Call Me Pro  has a new killer feature where one can initiate a fake call with a swipe of finger on home screen.  Here’s the
 detailed instruction of setting up:

  1. uninstall any Fake-Call Me widget you previously installed if any
  2. Make sure Fake-Call Me pro shortcut is working first:  long-tab on homescreen.
  3. select “shortcut”.
  4. select “FCM Pro”.
  5. press the “FCM Pro” shortcut on your home screen to make sure it works.  It’d use the fake-call settings you last used
  6. download and install Go Launcher Ex.
  7. press home button and select Go Launcher Ex if you are asked to pick an application.
  8. press menu button, select “preferences”, then select “operation settings”.
  9. select either glide up or down action.
  10. select “shortcut”, then “FCM Pro”.
  11. press back button a couple of times to get back to your home screen.
  12. swipe your finger upward or downward(depeding on whether you configure glide up or down action) on home screen.  A fake call should be triggered
  13. d.
  14. now remove the FCM Pro shortcut on your home screen cause you no longer need it.

You’ve got a secret way of scheduling a fake call.

Need Help in Getting Call Screen Screenshots on HTC Hero(Droid Eris), Motorola CLIQ

We are aware that the Fake-call me calling screens don’t look like what the real ones on HTC Hero(Droid Eris) or Motorola CLIQ(even though you can still answer fake-calls, so just don’t show your phone to anyone when you answer fake-call for now.)  But we don’t have a HTC Hero(Droid Eris) or Motorola CLIQ to test.

If you own one of the phones and can follow the not-so-trivial instruction on taking screenshots to get the incoming-call screen and the call-in-progress screen, please email us the screenshots at support at mobileappbuilder com.  If you are in the San Francisco bay area, we can meet you in person to get screenshots off your phone.

For anyone trying to take screenshots with the Cliq, you need to download the driver.

You may wonder why Google(the Android OS maker) makes it so hard to just take a screenshot.  We don’t know…

For all the trouble you go through, we will give you fake-call me pro for free(refund you the fee you pay via android market).
